As for me: I’m currently using a Windows Mobile 6 based LG-KS20 for mobile internet, mostly while I’m commuting. That averages to about 1-2 hours a day which I spent checking my emails and surfing the web (news pages, mostly). The rest of my day (14-16 hours) I’m online @work or on my MacBook. No, I’m not addicted. I could quit anytime I want. Seriously. I just could use another one of these sweet hits from the DHCP…
My outlook on new trends is that we’ll see more mobile optimized content, more advertising, and more location based ads and applications. That has been said more than once, but I feel that we finally have the necessary infrastructure and market penetration to make it a viable solution. The popularity of the iPhone and similar devices has raised awareness and might be the breakthrough mobile internet has been waiting.
